The Queen City 15 Fine Art Gallery will present “Sagrado [Sacred}” an exhibit featuring artwork by Elisa Pritzker. After trip to Tierra del Fuego (Land of Fire) in South Patagonia, Argentina, Elisa felt inspired by the positive spiritual-shamanic beliefs of the ancient/current Selknam People that suffered a brutal genocide, but their culture is alive and thriving. The Selknam creed is based on respect for the family, community and nature.
The idea behind this body of work is to touch the lives of as many people as possible from all races and ages to favor the development of a reflective and critical audience - promoting cultural diversity and respect for all cultures- starting off from the spiritual wealth and Selknam world-view.
“Sagrado” will be launched with a reception, which is open to the public, on Friday December 6th from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the gallery located at 317 Main Street. It will be on display through Saturday December 28th. Elisa will give an artist talk on Saturday December 7 at 3pm at the gallery.
